Mujhe aise lagta tha ki mujhe kaam pe nahi jaana hai. Mein kisi ko milna nahi chahti thi, mein bahar nahi jaana chahti thi. Mein kuch nahi karna chahti thi. Kaafi baar, I don't know if I should say this, but jeene ki jo ... I didn't feel like living anymore. I felt like I had no purpose.”

She further shared that she repeatedly cried during that period. Recalling an incident from ‘Happy New Year’ shoot. Deepika said that she would go and cry in the van after her shoot was over. “Didn’t know myself why I was crying or feeling like that,” she said.
