Knows as the first female superstar of Indian cinema, Sridevi wowed fans in fifty years long career. She acted in various languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. From her mischievous smile to her lively smile and her impeccable acting, Sridevi was truly a glam diva and a girl-next-door, all at once. Ever since the news of her sudden demise is out, fans and film fraternity has been mourning. 

But did you know that the actress who started her career as a child actor made her own rules. When she was at the peak of her career, Hollywood's biggest filmmaker also came knocking at her door but the actress rejected the offer. In 1993, when Steven Spielberg was making Jurassic Park, he had wanted to cast Sridevi in a small role in his sci-fi but the actress refused the offer. She felt the part did little justice to star stature back home and wasn't worth the more.  

Eventually, Jurassic Park went on to become a huge hit, with a sequel also being launched. Eventually Irrfan Khan became the first Indian actor to be associated with this popular franchise.

And it is not just Jurassic Park, back home Sridevi also refused to work in Darr opposite Shah Rukh Khan a few years later. “After Chandni and Lamhe, I feel Darr would have been an ordinary character for me. If I’m playing Shah Rukh Khan’s role, then of course, I would have loved to do it. The character Juhi played was new for her and so it was good for her. But for me, it was something I had done many times before,” Sridevi had said to the media, explaining her decision that time.
