The tunes of Shah Rukh Khan's rap song 'Karo Matdan' have probably stayed back with you. The song, which saw Shah Rukh Khan take the mic after Jab Harry Met Sejal song 'Safar', was actually the version which Shah Rukh Khan rapped by himself.

Confirming Shah Rukh Khan's own voice in the rap for 'Karo Matdan', Tanishk Bagchi, who composed the song, told Mid-Day, "Shah Rukh sir called me a few weeks ago and asked me to compose music for the voting song. He wanted to try his hand at rapping."

In fact Bagchi even revealed that Shah Rukh Khan did not even prep for the rap song. He mentioned, "He (Shah Rukh Khan) didn't do any prior rehearsals; he simply came to the studio two weeks ago and recorded the song in one hour."

Shah Rukh Khan wanted to be sure that the rap was a way of talking to people. Bagchi confirmed the same by saying, "Shah Rukh sir said that he wants to tell people why they need to go out and cast their vote. He pulled off rapping so easily. He also gave several inputs, including that we add spoken word portions at the end of the song."

"He was particular about treating it sensitively because of [the delicate nature] of its concept. For him, it's not just a song; it's an important message," concluded Tanishk Bagchi. For the uninitiated, 'Karo Matdan' was Shah Rukh Khan's brainchild, which has been appreciated by PM of India Narendra Modi as well.
