Did you know Govinda rejected James Cameron's 'Avatar'? Actor surprises with his revelation

In a television interview, Govinda surprised everyone by making a shocking revelation that he was offered James Cameron's blockbuster directorial 'Avatar'.

In his career of more than three decades, Govinda has worked in about 165 films and he is continuing in doing so. The talented actor is known for his impeccable dancing and comic skills, still, people consider him as the same. Govinda has been a part of several blockbuster films namely Swarg, Hum, Shola Aur Shabnam, Aankhen, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Deewana Mastana, Dulhe RajaBade Miyan Chote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi to name a few.

But did you know Govinda was offered James Cameron's blockbuster film Avatar? Yes, the actor revealed the same during the show Aap Ki Adalat. Govinda stated, "It was me who had given the title of the movie. I had told (James Cameron) that your film will run successfully in cinemas. I also added that your film will take at least seven years to complete. That infuriated him (laughs)!"

He further said, "I told him that the ‘avatar’ you want in the film is handicapped. Woh ishwar ka ansh hai aur apang hai…maine kaha ki yeh nahi hoga. And you want me to shoot for some 410 days and colour my body during the shoot. So I apologized for declining and left. And as predicted by me, the film released eight or nine years later and was a super hit!"

Well, that's shocking news, indeed!

Meanwhile, Govinda was last seen in Rangeela Raja released this year. The film was directed by Sikander Bharti and written and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani.
