Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding is the most-talked-about event this year. While the family will have pictures from the special day to remember it in the future, a memento created by casting artist Bhavna Jasra has immortalised the occasion. The artist, who is known for creating personalised hand impressions, was asked by Farah Khan to create one for the superstar couple. The choreographer-turned-filmmaker surprised the two when they visited her residence before they took off to Italy for the wedding. Said Bhavna, “Farah literally hid me in another room. I heard them arrive and greet her. She then told them that she has organised a surprise gift for their wedding and called me. They greeted me with smiles and on knowing about the surprise, they were happy.”
The artist then directed the jodi to clasp their hands together, so that their hand impression could be cast in clay. Bhavna, who has created artworks for celebrities including the Ambanis, the Bachchans, Aamir Khan, Twinkle and Akshay Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, added, “This is one of the most cherished impressions I have taken. I wish them love and togetherness forever. I am exhilarated to make this symbol of their everlasting love on their special day as they begin their journey as husband and wife. I thank Farah for making me a small part of this big love story.”
