Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh to reunite in THIS film, the couple to finally have a happy ending on the big screen

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have worked together in several films. They were first paired opposite each in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela released in 2013. On the sets of this hit film, Deepika and Ranveer fell in love with each other and went on to be in a relationship for six years. In these many years, they starred in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat as well. Moreover, Ranveer even had a special appearance in Deepika's film Finding Fanny. 

However, in all these films, Deepika and Ranveer didn't have a happy ending. But looks like, it's finally going to be true. Yes, the couple is all set to pair opposite each other in Kabir Khan's '83 as per a report in Pinkvilla. Talking about the same, a source stated to an entertainment portal, "Deepika has been locked for Kabir Khan's next film '83. The film that revolves around India's 1983 World Cup victory, will primarily focus on Kapil Dev's story. The film has an ensemble cast being lead by Ranveer and now, DP too has given her go ahead to the film."

It will not just be a special appearance, but Deepika will have a full-fledged role. The source added, "Deepika has a good role because she plays Kapil's wife Romi Bhatia who was also a pageant winner. In fact, as far as the story goes, she had left the stadium after India started losing the wickets. But when she heard that they are on the verge of winning the World Cup, she came back to the stadium. That part is extremely dramatic. Also, the film will delve into the relationship between the husband and wife, their love story."

Deepika will not only be starring in '83 but she will also be co-producing it.
