Earlier it was revealed that Abhishek Sharma directorial Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari will be one of the first films to get a theatrical release amid coronavirus crisis in the country. However, it was reported that the film might skip theatrical release depending on the unlocking guidelines and more in the coming days. Now, the makers have confirmed that Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh will release in theatres on November 15, 2020.

The makers had initially planned to release Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari in theatres on November 13, 2020, now they have postponed the release to two days. Apart from Manoj, Diljit and Fatima, the comedy film also stars Annu Kapoor, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Pahwa, Neeraj Sood, Nehha Pendse, Manuj Sharma, Vanshika Sharma, Karishma Tanna and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.

Talking about Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, Abhishek had earlier told IANS, "Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a unique family comedy that draws humour from the quirks of its refreshing yet relatable characters. The world is set in the innocence of the 1990s when there was no social media or mobile phones."

This is the first outing of Manoj, Diljit and Fatima together. 

While praising Fatima, Sharma had also said, "Fatima is an excellent talent who has the quality to get into all these emotions at will. She is extremely punctual, very involved and dedicated to her work. Her infectious enthusiasm keeps us all energised on the set."
