'Chhalaang' song 'Deedar De': Rajkummar Rao-Nushrratt Bharuccha recreate hit 'Dus' track

The latest song from Chhalaang is out. Titled 'Deedar De', the song is the recreated version of the popular track of the same name from the movie Dus. The new song is picturised on the lead actors of Chhalaang, Rajkummar Rao and Nushrratt Bharuccha. In the video, which seems to be a promotional song, we see Rajkummar getting mesmerised by Nushrratt's beauty and amazing dancing skills. They both then shake a leg together to the groovy track.

Like the original, 'Deedar De' is also composed by Vishal and Shekhar. Sunidhi Chauhan sang Dus track while Asees Kaur and Dev Negi crooned the Chhalaang song. Whereas Panchhi Jalonvi penned the lyrics. 'Deedar De' is choreographed by Bosco and Caesar.

Earlier during an interaction with Indian Express, Nushrratt had spoken about the inspiration behind her character. She said, "I took inspiration from the kids. I like children a lot. We had so many kids on the sets. They were amazing. Their energy enhanced my performance. Neelima (Nushrratt’s character) is a teacher who likes to nurture kids and give them some motivation. I am also similar to her in that aspect."

Talking about director Hansal Mehta, she shared, "Like everyone else, I also thought Hansal sir is a very strict and serious filmmaker. I used to think that he is someone who wants his actor to be in the zone of the character all the time and be focussed. On the first day of the shoot, they all played a prank on me, which broke the ice between me and Hansal sir. So, after that, everything was super chill and normal. I don’t remember a day when he came up to me and told me to rehearse a scene more than once. He trusted me with the character and gave me all the freedom to portray the character as per my understanding. He instilled a lot of confidence in me."

Chhalaang is written by Luv Ranjan, Aseem Arrora & Zeishan Quadri, it is directed by Hansal Mehta, produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan & Ankur Garg, and presented by Bhushan Kumar. The film is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 13, 2020.
