CBFC gets new logo, certificate design

The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Prasoon Joshi went on to unveil the new logo of Central Board of Film Certification at an event on Saturday. Along with the logo, Joshi also revealed the new certificate identity of the board.

The event, hosted in Mumbai, was graced by Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar. The minister was the chief guest at the event. Secretary Shri Amit Khare also shared the stage to unveil the new logo and certificate identity of CBFC.

Sharing the same, Press Information Bureau of Maharashtra went on to tweet, "Check out the new logo of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), unveiled by I&B Minister @PrakashJavdekar; Secretary Shri Amit Khare; and Chairman, CBFC, @prasoonjoshi, in Mumbai a short while ago"

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh went on to reveal the certification of the board. "#CBFC unveils its new logo and certificate design... At the industry meet - a first of its kind - hosted by #CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi with I&B Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar as chief guest and I&B Secretary Shri Amit Khare, #CBFC unveiled a new logo and certificate design," he wrote alongside the unveiling.

The censor board had also planned tete-a-tete between members of the film industry and the CBFC. "The new design is futuristic in its approach and in sync with the new digital world. It is also interactive in its design sensibility," Joshi, who has conceptualised the new look, told IANS previously. Rohit Devgun along with technical support from National Securities Depository Limited was responsible for the design.
