Move over Sonam Kapoor's big fat punjabi wedding for it's Cannes time here again. Deepika Padukone, who checked into the beautiful French Reviera on Wednesday in an oversized shirt-jacket and black leather pants, is all set to make heads turn at the prestigious red carpet on May 10th and 11th. The Padmaavat actress recently took to her social media accounts to share her first few looks at Cannes Film Festival.

In the first one DP can be seen flaunting her oh-so-flawless figure in a knotted white crop top and a pair of mid-rise denims. But, it was her oversized, tinted retro glasses that got everyone talking and rightly so. While a few of her fans lauded her for daring to opt for a pair of jeans on day 1, the fashion police didn't seem very pleased with her.

"This look perfect for an airport look or a outgoing look or coffee date or shopping...But Not for Event Like this...You started broke my hopes [sic]," read one comment. "Too ghetto for Cannes. Shaleena can you please consider Deepika's personality before styling her. You dress her like you'd dress yourself." complained another."

For the second look, she slipped into a striped Tome NYC dress dress with a plunging neck line. Again, there was little to leave an impression. 

Look three had the diva in a Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini geometric-print dress. With her hair tied up in a messy pony tail and huge candy-pink hearts dangling from her ears, this one has to be the loudest sartorial choice Deepika has ever made at Cannes. "Float like a butterfly," she captioned the photo.

This will be Deepika's second appearance at the Cannes red-carpet and we can't wait to be mesmerized by her yet again. Let's see what more does the actress has in store for us. Deepika will be joined by other Cannes veterans like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. 2018 will also mark Kangana Ranaut and Huma Qureshi's debut at Cannes.
