Shanaya Kapoor has already entered Bollywood, if her mother Maheep Kapoor’s Instagram post is anything to go by. Shanaya’s father Sanjay Kapoor too made his Bollywood comeback recently with a cameo in Arjun Kapoor’s movie Mubarakan, followed by a role in ‘Lust Stories’.
Shanaya however has not turned an actor yet. She has rather taken the chair of an assistant director and will be shooting in Lucknow for two weeks. Sharing a photo of Shanaya hugging daddy dearest Sanjay Kapoor, her mother Maheep Kapoor shared, “My baby’s gone to Lucknow for 2 weeks #MissYouAlready #AssistantDirectorsLife #LoveYou @shanayakapoor02 #ProudMama”
Shanaya Kapoor is often spotted either with her sisters Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor or BFFs Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday or outside her gym. Her recent outing was when she went ‘aww’ while meeting Taimur Ali Khan co-incidentally.
Shanaya is not the first person to step into the chair of an assistant director. Her brother Arjun Kapoor also began his acting career by first being an assistant director on Shah Rukh Khan’s Kal Ho Naa Ho and Salman Khan starrer Salaam-e-Ishq. He had also worked as an associate producer on his father’s films No Entry and Wanted. Soon after he got the much-needed push from Salman Khan and his father and got a Bollywood launch with Parineeti Chopra in Yash Raj Films’ Ishaqzaade.
