Brace yourself! Akshay Kumar's 'Gold' teaser to be out on February 5
'Gold' marks the first association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer Gold have finally shared that the teaser of the sports biopic will be out on February 5. Gold is inspired by true events and it's story revoves around India's first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London.
Staying true to the genre of the film, the film is slated to release on Independence Day, 2018. Reportedly, the film is based on the life of Balbir Singh, who led the country to victory in Hockey at the 1948 Olympics in London.
The film also marks the Bollywood debut of popular TV actress Mouni Roy. Gold also stars, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Sunny Kaushal in significant roles.Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, the film is directed by Reema Kagti and will hit the theatres on 15th August 2018
