The country lost one of it's brightest stars on February 24, with the sudden demise of Bollywood actress Sridevi. The actress was in Dubai, attending a family wedding and was reportedly to have dies of 'accidental drowning' in her hotel bathtub following loss of consciousness.
While her fans and members of the film fraternity waited with baited breath to catch the last glimpse of their favourite actress, as she embarked upon her final journey before being cremated in Mumbai on Wednesday evening, the irreparable loss and grief of her two daughters Janhvi and Khushi and her husband Boney Kapoor cannot be fathomed by anyone.
The actress was clad in her favourite red and golden kanjivaram saree and decked like a bride for her final journey. She was cremated after receiving stately honours.
Soon after the funeral of the actress, Anil Kapoor shared a joint statement by the Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family, thanking the fans for their love and support and requesting the media to let allow them the space to mourn in peace.

Now, Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor has shared his statement from the official Twitter handle of Sridevi. While he expressed how the loss of his beloved wife is inexplicable for him and their daughters, he also thanked his family, friends, fans and well-wishers for their love and support. He also requested everyone to respect their need for privacy to mourn her demise.
He also stated that his only concern at the moment is to protect his daughters Janhvi and Khushi and find a way to move forward without his wife. He concludes with the lines, "Rest in peace, my live. Our lives will never be the same again."
