Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was seen opposite Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath committed suicide. He was 34 years old. As per preliminary investigation, he was found hanging at his Bandra residence and was also being treated for depression.

His demise comes as a shock to the industry who are still reeling from the loss of irreplaceable gems of the Hindi film industry in the past two months as Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer and Wajid Khan from the Sajid-Wajid duo died due to cardiac problems.

Sushant's ex-manager, Disha Salian had also committed suicide earlier this week. Disha had reportedly committed suicide by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment in Malad on Monday night. Sushant had offered his condolences after her sad demise as well.

34-year-old Sushant Singh Rajput started his career through television serial Pavitra Rishta and then moved on to Bollywood. He has acted in hit Bollywood films like Kai Po Chhe and MS Dhoni, a film based on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s life. He also acted in 2018 movie Kedarnath and his last film was Chhichhore released in 2019.
