'Prettiest and most fragrant birthday in the world': Blackpink's Jennie on turning 25

South Korean rapper-singer Jennie Kim aka Jennie celebrates her birthday on January 16 and has turned 25 this year. The popular artist is a part of the hit K-Pop band Blackpink. Recently, her 2018 single 'Solo' crossed 600 million views on YouTube making her the first K-Pop artist to achieve this feat. Interestingly, it's a double celebration for Jennie as it's her birthday too. The singer took to her Instagram page and thanked everyone for showering her with flower bouquets on her birthday.

Jennie posted a series of photos of the huge flower bouquets she received from her near and dear ones. The singer wrote her caption in the Korean language which roughly translates in English as "Thank you so much that I don't know where to start. I have the prettiest and most fragrant birthday in the world. Thanks to all of you."

Earlier, during an interaction with Billboard, Jennie spoke about 'Solo' single. She had said, "There was definitely some pressure when I was starting because I was representing myself and also BLACKPINK for the very first time." 

The talented singer also said that the song is about "being true to yourself and being confident. I hope that listeners can embrace the message and enjoy the song as much as I did."
