Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh held a press conference after Mumbai Police registered an FIR post Rhea Chakraborty's complaint against late actor's sisters and others. During the conference, Vikas said, "The FIR lodged by Rhea Chakraborty is in violation of the Supreme Court order." Talking about the complaint against Dr Tarun Kumar, the lawyer also said, "According to the order of the Supreme Court against the doctor, no FIR can be lodged when no committee is formed in this matter."

Vikas went on to say that Rhea has made Bandra Police station her second home. He further stated, "Bandra Police Station seems to be Rhea Chakraborty's second home as she runs to the police station over all kinds of petty issues." The lawyer added, "Rhea Chakraborty, who is trying to say through this FIR, could have given it to the CBI in her statement. The CBI would have considered it in her charge sheet. The second FIR which is recorded is not absolutely valid in the order of the Supreme Court and the direct disregard of the order of the apex court."

On Monday's press conference, Vikas had said, "I have been given a complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty in Bandra police station. It is an effort to keep jurisdiction of Mumbai police in this matter when SC said complaints with regard to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput will be investigated by CBI. So this is a clear attempt to somehow keep the Mumbai Police active in this matter so that they can do some mischief and ensure that the family of Sushant does not get justice in this matter."

Singh also said, "This is a clear attempt to divert the mind of the people and derail the probe. The family was not aware of this intensive drug angle. If Bandra Police accepts the complaint, it will be a violation of the order of Supreme Court and hence a contempt of the court. If Bandra Police proceeds with it, we will take the matter to the Supreme Court under contempt of court."
