It's reunion time for Ayushmann Khurrana with his former co-stars. Yes, the talented actor is all set to star alongside his Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Savdhan co-star Bhui Pednekar in Stree helmer Amar Kaushik's upcoming directorial Bala. Moreover, Ayushmann will also be reuniting with his debut film Vicky Donor co-star Yami Gautam in the film. Talking about Bala, the slice of life film has finally gone on floors today and the makers announced the same.
Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films' Twitter page shared the teaser poster of the film and wrote, "Excitement is in the hair.. err air! The shooting for #Bala begins today, @amarkaushik directs! #DineshVijan @ayushmannk @bhumipednekar @yamigautam @saurabhshukla_s @jaavedjaaferi #SeemaPahwa @JioCinema". In the teaser poster, a caricature of a bald man is seen hinting at the plot of Bala. Moreover, Ayushmann is also seen holding a clapperboard and only showing his hair.

Talking about the film, Dinesh said in a statement, "This time last year we were shooting Stree, and it’s surreal that we are starting another film with Amar today. Bala is entertaining witty and lovable, and we have a great cast to tell this story!"
In the film, Ayushmann whose nickname is Bala is balding prematurely. Bhumi will be seen as dusky small town educated girl, while Yami plays a supermodel based in Lucknow.
Apart from Ayushmann, Bhumi and Yami, Bala also stars Saurabh Shukla, Jaaved Jaaferi and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. The film will be extensively shot in Mumbai and Kanpur.
