'Bachchan Pandey': Akshay Kumar brings his 'Tashan' character back and the poster will remind you of a South Indian don

Akshay Kumar took to his social media pages and announced his forthcoming film titled, 'Bachchan Pandey' which is derived from his character name in 'Tashan'.

Akshay Kumar is on a signing spree and it's surprising to see the actor announcing new projects every other month. This year itself, he has four releases including Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good News. Moreover, Akshay will kickstart 2020 with Sooryavanshi and then he will also star in horror-comedy Laxmmi Bomb. Moreover, the handsome actor is all set to make his digital debut as well and the announcement was made earlier this year.

Now, there's another film of Akshay which will be releasing in 2020. The actor took to his social media pages and announced the film titled Bachchan Pandey. Ring a bell? Yes, this was his character's name in Tashan as well. In the first look, Akshay is seen only wearing a silk black mundu and gold ornaments with a nunchaku. He has put ashes on his forehead with a red dot. Akshay captioned his post stating, "Coming on Christmas 2020! ‪In & As #BachchanPandey ‪In #SajidNadiadwala’s Next, directed by @farhadsamji ‬@nadiadwalagrandson @wardakhannadiadwala"

Bachchan Pandey is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is slated to release during Christmas 2020.

Talking about the project, a source earlier said to Pinkvilla, "Sajid and Akshay are best friends. They were planning to do another film and it was then that Farhad Samji came up with LOL Land OF Lungi. That film isn't happening with Akshay but he is doing another project, that will be directed by Farhad and produced by Sajid."
