Babil Khan reveals why he has stopped sharing memories of his late father Irrfan Khan

Late actor Irrfan Khan's elder son Babil Khan who is all set to make his on-screen debut with Netflix's 'Qala', on Monday took to his Instagram stories to reveal why he doesn't not share memories of his father on his Instagram handle any more.  

When one of his fans sent him a DM asking Babil why he no longer shares memories of Irrfan, he replied, 'I loved sharing and then I get these Dms all the time saying that I'm using him to promote myself and that really hurts when in fact I was genuinely sharing memories to fill up the void that he left in his fans. So I'm so confused on what to do. I'm trying to figure out but it really hurts when random people message me saying I'm using his memory to gain clout, like I needed to do that, I'm already his son, I never needed to do that to gain anything. Now I'm perplexed and a little hurt tbh. So I'll share when I feel like it's the right time."

He captioned the Instagram Story, "For Baba's fans wondering why I have stopped sharing memories of him."

For the unversed, ever since the demise of his father Irrfan Khan last year in April, Babil would share unseen photos of his dad, sharing some anecdotes or BTS trivia etc, which were  treat for the prolific actor's fans and followers. However, as mentioned by Babil, some internet users trolled Babil for using his father's memories to gain clout, the reason why he stopped sharing them on social media. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Babil will make his on-screen debut opposite Triptii Dimri in Anushka Sharma's Clean Slate Films produced 'Qala'. 

For the uninformed, Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode on April 29 last year after a long battle with cancer. The actor was last seen in 'Angrezi Medium' co-starring Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and others in pivotal roles.
