Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar come together once again, this time for a quirky comedy 'Bala'

After entertaining us with films like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, the hit jodi of Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar is all set to win us over once again as they collaborate for Dinesh Vijan's next production titled Bala. The film is said to be a quirky comedy and will be directed by Stree helmer Amar Kaushik. 

The movie announcement came on Saturday by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. He took to his Twitter account and shared, "Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar... After #DumLagaKeHaisha and #ShubhMangalSaavdhan, the duo to head the cast of quirky laugh riot, titled #Bala... Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Amar Kaushik, the team that delivered the Blockbuster #Stree..."

As per Adarsh, Ayushmann will be seen playing the character of a prematurely balding man while Bhumi will be seen in the role of a dusky small-town girl, struggling in a society obsessed with fair skin colour. 

The movie will begin rolling from March 2019 and is slated to hit the theatres in September 2019.

Meanwhile, Bhumi will soon be seen in the film Son Chiriya along side Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee and others. She's currently shooting for Alankrita Shrivastava's Dolly Litty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. She recently wrapped up a schedule of the film too. 

On the other hand, riding high on the success of his last two releases - AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana has also signed Ekta Kapoor's next production titled Dream Girl. He will be seen opposite Nushrat Bharucha in the film.
