Are Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's dates creating trouble for 'Shiddat'?
The ensemble cast is in place for the film that is set against the partition era between 1945-1947.
While it was believed that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Shiddat was shelved, designer Manish Malhotra recently let the cat out of the bag when he revealed that he’s working on a period film with Alia, Varun, Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur.
The ensemble cast is in place for the film that is set against the partition era between 1945-1947. But a source tells us that the film, despite being readied already, won’t begin before mid-2018, “Sridevi and Aditya are free, but Varun begins shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s film in October after which he has YRF’s Sui Dhaaga. On the other hand, Alia is now shooting for Raazi and then has Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh. So where’s the time to begin Shiddat now?”
Chances are high that the film will only begin later in 2018.
