This year Alia has picked up the cudgels for animals. Her campaign is called ‘Pooch over Patakha’, in which she is asking fans to choose well-being of animals over crackers.

The industry has come out in support of the cause and now, Aparshakti Khurrana, too, is all for the noble campaign. “My dad was quite evolved and even as kids we were never allowed to burn crackers. His main concern was the stray animals,” he says.
