Fans waited all day on November 5 for Anushka Sharma's birthday wish for her husband, RCB, and India skipper Virat Kohli. However, defying norms, the actor, late on Thursday night, took to her Instagram to share two loved-up pictures with the captain.

Anushka kept her post simple and posted two pictures with Virat Kohli. While one picture shows the actor and producer lovingly embrace Virat, the second one shows her passionately plating a kiss on his cheek.

As for her caption, Anushka chose to accompany the pictures with a single heart emoji.

The post immediately became viral, also among Anushka's industry colleagues. Actor Priyanka Chopra could not help but cry happy tears as she commented on the couple's post with a crying emoji and a heart emoji.

Virat and Anushka are currently in the UAE for the 13th edition of the Dream 11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 wherein Virat is leading his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to what could be their first IPL victory.

On a personal front, Virat and Anushka are expecting their first child together in January 2021. Anushka broke the news on her Instagram handle a few weeks back with a photo of her in a black polka-dot dress and Virat standing behind her in a white t-shirt. "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021," she wrote alongside the picture.

Earlier this year, Virat had spoken about how he baked a cake for his wife's birthday. "I baked a cake for the first time in my life on Anushka's birthday, so that will be a standout quarantine story for me. I had never done baking in my life, and I was able to do it properly in my first attempt. She told me that she loved the cake and it was very special," Kohli told Mayank Agarwal in a video posted by the official Twitter handle of BCCI.
