Anushka Sharma, Madhuri Dixit-Nene attend make-up artist Subbu's funeral

Make-up artist Subbu Vagal, more popularly known by his first name Subbu, breathed his last today at 1 pm. The veteran make-up artist reportedly died after battling cancer for some time. Soon after, various condolences poured in from the industry members.

His funeral witnessed celebrities like Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Anushka Sharma. Photographer Daboo Ratnani and his wife Manisha Ratnani were also snapped at the funeral. Ace photographer Viral Bhayani shared images from the funeral.

Subbu was a make-up artist who worked with majorly known Bollywood celebrities for magazine covers and advertisements. Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif even mourned the death of Subbu. His recent works included make-up for Anushka, Katrina, Tabu, Radhika Apte, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shanaya Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Pooja Hegde, Vidya Balan and Rakul Preet Singh among others.

Talking about Subbu to Vogue, Anaita Shroff Adajania stated, "When he started in his industry, he was the only one who could do a clean contemporary look. Any face that he put his art to always had a fresh feel to it. It was almost as though you needed Subbu to know what your true potential was."
