Last month, Aaliyah in her YouTube video had talked about premarital sex, peer pressure and unplanned pregnancies with her father. She had previously revealed that her parents are aware of the ‘experiments’ she made as a teenager when it comes to alcohol.

Recently, Aaliyah appeared on Zoom’s ‘Invite Only Season 2’ and shared that she received hate messages for discussing sex, pregnancy and drugs with her parents in her YouTube videos. Aaliyah said people comment one her photo asking for questions like, “How can you talk about such things with your parents?’

Aaliyah also shared that she met with many hate comments after she recently shared lingeries photos on her Instagram handle in relation to a brand endorsement. She said some of the comments were related to her not complying with the culture of India. “I want people to like me but not everyone can like you," she said.

Aaliyah also talked about how man presumably in his 30s has been sending her ‘dirty fan fiction’ every month since last year which according to her is ‘disgusting’

"There's this one guy that's been DMing me since last year March. He sent me these long essays of his Wattpad fan fiction but dirty fan fiction that he has about me. Since last year he's been sending me these like, 'oh my baby, blah blah blah'. I don't even want to say it, it's disgusting. I stalked him, he looks quite old, in his 30s. But like full detailed, dirty fan fiction every month, I get a new essay," she said.

So, does her boyfriend Shane Gregoire reads them to her? She said, “Yeah, he's read them, he reads them out to me." She also added, "I don't know, it's very broken English, and it's like these long, big words that make no sense. They don't go with whatever he's trying to say. So I think that's probably it. It's really funny."

On the show, Aaliyah also talked about the MeToo allegations against her father and said they bothered her the most because it was a misrepresentation of her father's character.

"The #MeToo claims bothered me a lot. The hate doesn’t get to me, it is the misrepresentation of his character that bothers me. People think he is a terrible man, but ask anyone close to me and they will say that he’s the biggest softy teddy bear you’ll ever meet,” she said.
