Anil Kapoor did all the action stunts in Race 3 himself: Remo D'Souza

Anil Kapoor is the only actor in Race 3, who will be completing a hattrick with the franchise. The actor, who played a detective in the first two instalments, has a completely different role in the upcoming outing as its storyline is distinct. Anil even sports a different look with his salt and pepper hair. Moreover, sources say his character has been given a twist and he will also make a larger-than-life stylised action entry in the movie.

Talking about his experience of working with the veteran actor, director Remo D’Souza says, “I was very excited to work with Anil sir and he actually got me all awestruck and mesmerised on the first day of the shoot in Abu Dhabi. With his vivaciousness, positivity and excitement, he took the energy on the sets to another level altogether.” What amazed the director the most was the actor calling him the night before each day’s shoot to talk about the next day’s schedule — from what he would be wearing to the setting to the dialogues. As Remo adds, “Anil Sir always wanted to be prepared the day before to avoid any delays. Not only was he always punctual on the sets, but his enthusiasm and spontaneity to do all the action stunts himself at this age (he is 61) is what inspired me the most.”
