The Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) today released its TIARA Research Report on Celebrities as Human Brands. The Report was released by the Coach of the Indian Cricket team, Ravi Shastri, and Dr. Sandeep Goyal, Chief Mentor of the IIHB in Mumbai.

The report stated that Amitabh Bachchan is the most respected celebrity, while Deepika Padukone is the most beautiful, Akshay Kumar as the most appealing, and Maniesh Paul emerges as TV'S Most Macho personality.

The TIARA Research (Trust, Identify, Attractive, Respect, and Appeal) is unique research whose field study has been done by renowned Japanese agency Rakuten.

Apart from this, in cricketers, Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni lead and India skipper Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma are the most respected and trusted celebrity couples.

Speaking of controversies,  Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor appeared to be the most controversial couple, while Kangana Ranaut and Salman Khan took the cake in Bollywood. Meanwhile, respondents voted cricketer Hardik Pandya as the most controversial celebrity.

Former host and Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana has been named as the celebrity India "identify" with the most, with an empathy score of 88.5.

The TIARA Report is based on a study carried out by IIHB across a sample size of 60,000 respondents pan India from 23 cities - (Delhi including NCR), Mumbai (including Thane), Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune (including Pimpri & Chinchwad), Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Nagpur, Vishakhapatnam, Indore, Bhopal, Patna, Vadodara, Ghaziabad, Ludhiana, and Agra.

Speaking about the importance of such scores, advertising and media industry veteran and chief mentor of IIHB, Dr. Sandeep Goyal told indianexpress.com, "There’s a lot of interest in common folk when it comes to advertising and especially celebrities in advertising. Right now if you see the IPL, 50 percent of the ads have one or the other celeb making an appearance. In fact, if you go to an OTT platform like Disney Plus Hotstar, two out of three ads feature a celebrity. So now celebs have become an essential part of the advertising and brand communication landscape."
