Amidst controversy, the makers of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' release second poster

Anupam Kher-starrer The Accidental Prime Minister has been the topic of discussion ever since its trailer released a few days back.

The film has been caught up in controversy with a lot of debates and discussions going around it.

But amidst all this, the makers of the film have released yet another interesting poster which sees Anupam Kher as former Prime Minsiter Manmohan Singh, standing against the podium, with hands folded, ready to take the oath as PM of the country.

The poster also has these words written in Hindi over it, "Main, Manmohan Singh Ishwar Ki Shapath Leta Hoon."

Meanwhile, The Accidental Prime Minister revolves around Manmohan Singh's life, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and is based on the book of the same name written by Sanjaya Baru, Singh's advisor.

The film will see Anupam Kher essaying the role of Manmohan Singh, Suzanne Bernert will portray the role of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, while Akshaye Khanna will be seen as Sanjay Baru.

The film also features Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra as Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi, respectively.

Helmed by debutant Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta, the flick is slated to release on January 11, 2019.
