Alok Nath seems to be going the Nana Patekar way.
After Vinta Nanda accused Alok Nath of sexual violation, another TV and film actress Sandhya Mridul has opened up about facing harassment from the veteran actor. In a detailed post on Twitter, which starts with “In truth & solidarity. I’m with you @vintananda #metoo,” the actress has recounted an incident that happened when she was shooting for a short film in Kodaikanal with Alok. He essayed her father’s role in it.
She writes that an inebriated Alok entered her room and lunged at her. But she ran out and managed to get the DOP along with her. “What ensued was traumatic. A belligerent Alok Nath refused to leave.. kept screaming, shouting, threatening, abusing trying to grab me.. but at some point we managed to make him leave. The hairdresser was called and made to sleep in my room I was so shaken up. In a few hours I had scenes with Bauji, in one I had to sit on his lap and cry. I still feel nauseous when I think of it,” she says.
It didn’t end there. He continued making calls to her and knocking on her door.. “I was a nervous wreck,” she writes.
Finally, she let him enter her room in the presence of her hairdresser and he apologised to her. “He said he was an alcoholic and that he had destroyed everything, his family, his marriage and I was like his daughter. He respected me and that he was very sorry. He says he had learnt his lesson and that he would go to therapy and change it all.”
She forgave him, but when he returned to Mumbai she says that he told everyone she was difficult and arrogant.
“I stand by you Vinta. What I went through is nothing compared to you. I’m so sorry.” In her post she also lauds Tanushree Dutta saying what she has started is admirable.

Alok Nath seems to be going the Nana Patekar way. Reportedly, the Tara and Hum Saath-Saath Hain actor is contemplating legal recourse against those who are outing him. In a conversation with a news channel, Alok’s lawyer Ashok Saraogi said that the actor will be filing a defamation suit against Vinta Nanda, who first revealed on Facebook about how he ‘raped’ and ‘brutalised’ her. Saraogi told the news channel, “The charges levelled against my client are completely false. She is making baseless allegations. Alok Nath is innocent. He will speak at an appropriate time.” Last heard, the actor ‘is in a state of tremendous shock’ and the doctor has advised him bed rest for a couple of days. His lawyer added that Alok will address the media after two days.
