Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna complete 20 years of marital bliss, actor says 'surest I’ve ever been of a partnership'

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have completed 20 years of marital bliss. The couple tied the knot on January 17, 2001, and they took to their Instagram pages to wish each other. Akshay posted a photo in which they both are seen all smiles while posing for the selfie. The actor wore a white shirt and a salt-and-pepper heavy beard. While Twinkle wore a blue tie-dye printed dress.

Akshay wrote, "The surest I’ve ever been of a partnership...twenty years of togetherness and you still make my heart flutter and sometimes even drive me up the wall but then again I wouldn’t have it any other way coz a smile is never far when you are near. Happy anniversary Tina."

While Twinkle wrote, "You are the beauty and the brawn in this partnership and I can’t even say I am the brain because you are smarter than me. We don’t need each other to be complete (that’s just a cliche from soppy ballads) but we want to have the other one around always and that is perhaps the only way it is meant to be. Happy Anniversary Mr K."

While talking about each other, Akshay and Twinkle always have praiseworthy words. On Koffee With Karan, Akshay had said, "We keep on discovering new things about each other because we are so different. We are poles apart."

Calling her a 'source of strength', the actor had earlier said, "Twinkle has not only added to my wardrobe but also my bank balance. I was a scattered person; she is the one who has put me together. After marriage, she has kind of raised me (Laughs). On a serious note, whenever I’ve broken down she’s given me emotional support."
