Akshay Kumar to start shooting for 'Bachchan Pandey' only after wrapping 'Sooryavanshi' and 'Prithviraj'?

Akshay Kumar is someone who does almost four films every year. The superstar whose almost every film is a hit is every time on a signing spree and surprises fans with the roles he opts for. From social, patriotic to massy genres, Akshay does it all and how. A couple of months back, he took to his social media pages and shared the first look of his forthcoming film titled Bachchan Pandey. He wrote, "Coming on Christmas 2020! ‪In & As #BachchanPandey In #SajidNadiadwala’s Next, directed by @farhadsamji @nadiadwalagrandson @wardakhannadiadwala".

Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Akshay will kickstart the shoot of the film in February 2020. Talking about it, a source told the tabloid, "Before starting work on Bachchan Pandey, Akshay will wrap up a period film and minor chunks of his cop drama, Sooryavanshi. Like most of his films, this one too will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule." About Bachchan Pandey, the source also said, "It’s a massy character and has several oneliners tailor-made for Akshay. A lot of time was also spent on designing his look."

The recce for the film will soon start and the source added, "The production team will go location-hunting after the release of Housefull 4, which is also directed by Farhad. It will be shot at real-life locations in North and South India apart from sets in Mumbai."

The female lead of Bachchan Pandey is yet to be announced. The film is set to be a Christmas 2020 release.
