Akshay Kumar, who is currently awaiting the release of R Balki’s PadMan on February 9, has his hands full with Reema Kagti’s Gold, Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 and the recently announced Kesari.  While the actor has been featuring in social-driven films for long, Akshay has time and again opened up on his wish to have a strong foothold on several genres including comedy, action and romantic as well.

In fact, at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017, Akshay revealed that he would like to do a film like Bhool Bhulaiyaa. "I really like horror comedy. I want to do a film like Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I want to work in a film like that. I am looking for a good script."

Now, it seems Akshay’s wish has finally come true. As per a report in PinkVilla, Akshay has finally found a horror comedy subject and has decided to remake the South Indian film Kanchana 2. 

Meanwhile, it was revealed a few months back it that Akshay will be reprising the role of late music mogul and founder of T-series, Gulshan Kumar in the upcoming film titled Mogul. While the first look poster of the film was also out, latest report suggests that Akshay has not only quit the film, but also returned his signing amount.
