Akshay Kumar tests COVID-19 positive, under home quarantine

Akshay Kumar, on Sunday morning, revealed that he has been tested positive for coronavirus. The actor had just kickstarted the shoot of his forthcoming film Ram Setu in Mumbai and has now isolated himself. Akshay took to his social media pages and shared a note about testing COVID-19 positive. The superstar was shooting for the film with his leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha as they shared their photos from the sets too.

Meanwhile, Akshay's note read as "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!"

Akshay started shooting for Ram Setu on March 30 and he had unveiled his look from the film on his social media pages. The actor wrote, "The journey of making one of the most special films for me begins today. #RamSetu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film.
