Akshay Kumar has NOT signed 'Hera Pheri 3' yet

The Hera Pheri franchise has a huge fan following. The first film, which hit the screens in 2001, went on to become a cult comic caper. Its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), too, was appreciated by the audience. The buzz about the third movie of the series rolling out was heard last year. But that seems unlikely at the moment.

While the first was directed by Priyadarshan, the second was helmed by Neeraj Vora. Director Indra Kumar had confirmed that he will be leading the next. The junta is obviously keen to see which adventure do Raju, Shyam and Baburao, played by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, respectively, embark on. However, there’s a lot on Akshay’s platter, and sources close to him suggest that he is yet to hop on board. The source says, “Akshay will be seen in Kesari, Housefull 4, the multi-starrer Mission Mangal, Good News and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and one film that is being co-produced by Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor. He is also planning his digital debut.
