Earlier this month the Khiladi of Bollywood scored over 20 million followers on his Instagram and became the first male Bollywood actor to have so many followers on the photo and video-sharing site.

If the numbers weren't enough to make him feel special, Instagram awarded him a memento for the wonderful milestone.

On Monday, Akshay shared an image of himself holding the memento on his Instagram and captioned it, “Here’s another gold from the good people at Instagram. Glad to share, the first Bollywood Actor (Male) to cross the 20 million followers milestone is yours truly. Thank you all once again for the love, sending lots of love and prayers your way”.

Akshay has left behind several Bollywood stars behind in the race, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, among others.

Earlier, the overwhelmed Padman actor, on crossing the 20 million mark, went on to thank his fans and followers for adding to the number.

He even shared a boomerang on his social media along with a caption which read, “Wondering what am I celebrating… You all… Delighted to share, we are now a family of 20 million ‘Akkians’ on Instagram. Thank you for being there with me as we cross such milestones together. Love and prayers”.

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar's historical sports drama Gold, co-starring Mouni Roy is doing pretty well at the box office. The film chronicles the journey of Indian hockey team during the 'golden era' that led to India winning its first gold medal at the Olympics.

Akshay also has Kesari, Housefull 4, Hera Pheri 3 and Good News in his kitty.
