Akshay stated, "My son is very different. I mean, he just doesn't want to tell anyone that he's my son. He wants to be away from the limelight. He wants to have his own identity. That's what the whole thing and I understand it. So, I let him be the way he wants to."

Khiladi Kumar also shared that he wishes whatever values and rules his father taught him, his son gets that too. Akshay went on to share, "He's (Akshay’s father) the only influence I have in my life and I've followed all his rules and all the things that he has taught me. And I hope my son gets that."

Earlier while talking about Grylls, Akshay had said, "I have always admired Bear Grylls for his energy, passion and what he has stood for all these years. It was a humbling experience being with him in the wild as he went about unfolding one challenge after another. It is different out there, as compared to movie sets, as there is no back-up – that sense of realism is very overpowering. Bear is a knowledge reservoir – and he dipped well into his knowledge of surviving in the wild, and shared interesting and new techniques with me."
