Headlined by Ajay Devgn and Tabu, the romantic drama Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was slated to release this Friday on July 5. However, on Tuesday, July 2, the makers have announced that the film has been postponed and the new release date will be announced soon.
The production house Friday Filmworks, owned by the film's director Neeraj Pandey, took to its social media handles and shared a note that read, "Dear Friends, on request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, we have collectively decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. New release date to be announced soon."
In the comments section, netizens said that this is because Kalki 2898 AD is ruling the box office. One of them wrote, "Kalki 2898 AD se darr gaye lagta hai, koi nahi, it's a good move for business (It's seem that you guys got scared from Kalki 2898 AD, no worries, it's a good move for the business)", while another wrote, "Kalki Tsunami".
Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan-starrer Kalki 2898 AD is wreaking havoc at the box office as the Nag Ashwin directorial has collected over Rs 600 crore globally within just six days of its release. The Hindi dubbed version of the epic sci-fi dystopian action drama is also going strong as it has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India.
Meanwhile, coming back to Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the film also stars Jimmy Shergill, Shantanu Maheshwari and Saie Manjerekar in the leading roles. The romantic drama is directed by Neeraj Pandey, who has previously helmed thrillers A Wednesday, Baby, and Special 26.
