More so, Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan's film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior crossed Chhapaak's expected lifetime collections of Rs. 35 crore within two days of its release. The movie is performing great in Maharashtra, especially Mumbai, and now, according to a report on Box Office India, the movie would also compete with the Box Office of the highest-grossing film Baahubali: The Conclusion in the region.

Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak, as per early estimates, minted Rs. 1.25-1.50 crore on Thursday. On the other hand, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior's expected Box Office collections are Rs. 11-12 crore, thus taking the total collections of the film to Rs. 116 crore net.

Tanhaji has been performing best in Maharashtra since early reports state that the movie has barely managed to perform in Delhi NCR, East Punjab, and West Bengal. However, team Tanhaji doesn't have anything to worry about for another week since there is no direct competition to the film till the time Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor's Street Dancer 3D and Kangana Ranaut's Panga release on January 24, 2020.
