Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam, who has been in the eye of the storm for his controversial remarks on kidnapping women, has landed in another soup. The BJP leader shared a picture of Bollywood actor-turned television judge Sonali Bendre, paying condolences to her.

Kadam soon took the tweet down and claimed that he put it based on a rumour that was doing the rounds, but the damage had been done. "About Sonali Bendre ji   It was rumour . Since last two days .. I pray to God for her good health & speedy recovery," he tweeted

People took screenshots of his original tweet and critised Kadam, starting with his own party colleague Shaina NC.

Without taking any name, Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Shaina NC condemned the rumours and tweeted, "People should show restraint, as our dear friend Sonali Bendre is fighting valiantly in the fight against cancer and is on the road to recovery. All she requires is our PRAYERS and not stupid RUMOURS," she tweeted without naming the BJP leader.

Kadam's original tweet read, ""Popular Bollywood and Marathi diva, who has been entertaining with her performances, which were highly appreciated by her fans is no more. Sonali Bendre passed away in America," translates Ram Kadam's message in English, as per a Times of India report."

Bendre, who has been battling metastatic cancer for a while now and is currently being treated for her high-grade cancer in New York.

However, this hasn't brought her down, as her recent posts suggest.  She recently celebrated 'Read A Book Day’ with a wide smile and a fresh new book!

The Kal Ho Na Ho actress shared a new picture on her Instagram where she can be seen with a book in her hand and a wide, beautiful smile on her face.

The actress, without any apprehension or self-doubt is showing her bald look in the picture and we can't be any less impressed by her 'never say die' attitude.
