Earlier in April this year, British actor Daisy Edgar Jones made news after she exited filmmaker SS Rajamouli's upcoming film RRR due to 'unavoidable circumstances.' Since then the makers have been hunting for other faces. A while ago Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra's names were tossed up as contenders to replace Daisy.  However now it seems Shraddha is out of the race as she has decided to give the film a pass.

A source close to the development informed Deecan Chronicle, “Shraddha is now one of the busiest actresses in Bollywood. She already has to adjust her dates according to multiple films that she has signed up. Her name was on top of the list but it does seem that she will not be able to adjust her dates for the film. What will be interesting is to see whether the makers go for an Indian actress or try another British actress for the role, if they don’t get a big star in time for the film’s next schedule."

Recently Alia Bhatt, who is set to make her Telugu debut with RRR, revealed that she begged SS Rajamouli to cast her in the film. "I had bumped into Rajamouli sir at an airport and I begged him that whatever part he has (for me) I will do it. That time he had not casted for the girl yet,'' Alia told PTI.

"He said he was anyway talking about my timelines. So I told him whatever be the timelines, I will make it happen. We made it happen,'' she added. In the film, she is paired opposite Ram Charan.

RRR is a fictitious tale about two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively. The makers recently wrapped up the shooting in Gujarat and are prepping for the next schedule which will take place in Pune.

Rajamouli had earlier revealed, "This will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. There are gaps in the lives of these legendary freedom fighters that we don’t know about. We don’t know what happened in their lives in these years. It is through this fictional story we’d like to show what could have happened in their lives and what would have happened if they met and bonded."

RRR, which has a massive budget of Rs 300 crores, will open in theatres in ten Indian languages worldwide on 30 July, 2020.
