Prakash Bharadwaj has been quite an influence on Aamir Khan and his films. The speech trainer has helped Aamir prepare and get his diction right for several films — from Rang De Basanti to PK, Dangal and the upcoming Thugs Of Hindostan.

Now, he is turning director with a film of his own. His directorial debut, Colors Of Life, is based on a mother-and-daughter relationship. The story explores the ups and downs in the life of a single, working mother played by Rituparna Sengupta, and the relationship with her daughter (Payel Roy). Although it has a complete Bengali cast, the film is made in English.
