20 Years of Miss World Priyanka Chopra: Mom Madhu reveals 'stupidest' thing she said to her daughter on winning

It's been 20 years since Priyanka Chopra Jonas was crowned Miss World 2000. The actor who was all of 18 shot to fame instantly by becoming the fifth Indian to bring the crown home after Rita Faria, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Diana Hayden and Yukta Mookhey. Now, on completion of two decades in the showbiz, Priyanka has become a global name and one of the most talked-about celebs around the world. 

Earlier on Tuesday, Priyanka took to her Instagram page and shared a video with her mother Madhu Chopra where both discussed her actor's winning moment at Miss World. They were virtually joined by her brother Siddharth Chopra, who said that after Priyanka won the pageant he was sent to the US for further studies instead of her.

Moreover, Priyanka's mom shared a hilarious anecdote about the 'stupidest' question he asked her after she won. She said, "Babe, what’s going to happen with your studies?"

PeeCee captioned her post stating, "Miss World, 2000! Picture this... I just turned 18 and won Miss World!! When I finally reunited with my parents among all the chaos on stage, the first thing my mom said to me was “babe, what’s going to happen with your studies?” #IndianMom #20in2020."

After Priyanka, the next Miss India World was Manushi Chhillar who won the pageant in the year 2017. 

Meanwhile, the year Priyanka won Miss World, Lara Dutta Bhupathi was crowned Miss Universe, whereas Dia Mirza won Miss Asia-Pacific.
