12 years later, Payal Rohatgi is back with an item number

A decade after her item number O Sikandar in Corporate, Payal Rohatgi is all set to revisit the space with a special dance song, Aadat Kharab Hai, in a regional film. While the film is a trilingual to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Bhojpuri, the song is in Hindi. “I love dancing, but did not take up any item songs after O Sikandar because I didn’t want to get typecast. Instead, I did TV shows like Bigg Boss and Survivor India, met Sangram Singh (wrestler-actor) and together we participated in Nach Baliye. But now, I am excited to do this item song, because it is being shot on a huge scale with a big budget,” she says.

Besides her dance number, Payal also has her impending marriage with Sangram to look forward to. “I know he has said that we will have a winter wedding, let’s hope we do. We come from humble backgrounds and have been in a committed relationship for seven years. We are living-in and are engaged. Marriage is a beautiful part of our culture, but I have left it to him to figure it out,” she says nonchalantly.

Ask her why isn’t she taking a keen interest in it and she says, “I control the situation in many other things, this I have left to him.”
