1.Zero Opening Day Box Office Collections
The day 1 collections of Zero have come in at the early hours of Saturday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office figures of the film on its opening day.
'Zero' presents the story of Bauua, a vertically challenged man essayed by Shah Rukh Khan. Set against the backdrop of Meerut, 'Zero' presents a unique as well as rooted story.
2.Zero released across 4380 screens in India
Shah Rukh Khan's latest offering Zero managed to collect a total of Rs 20.14 crore at the ticket windows on Friday. The film released across 4380 screens in India. Zero has been receiving positive response from single screens which resulted in an increased footfalls in the evening shows at the theatres.
3.Zero fails to cross the Rs 25 crore mark on Day 1
While trade pundits were expecting the film to collect somewhere between Rs 25 crore to Rs 27 crore, the opening day figures seem to be a bit underwhelming. To top that, Zero has been gathering a mixed response from the critics. But the same happened with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, which opened to mixed reviews by the critics but went on to become such a huge hit that it crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide on its opening day itself.
4.Crucial weekend fro Zero!
Though, Zero has opened to Rs 20.14 crore, it is expected to record growth in its box office collections over the weekend which will be very crucial for the Ananad L Rai directorial. The film is expected to gain momentum over the weekend and will hopefully enjoy the Christmas holidays.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release [4380 screens] + #Christmas vacations... Sat and Sun biz extremely crucial... Fri ₹ 20.14 cr. India biz."
