Breastfeeding is still fraught with stigma for many women, despite the fact that it is a completely natural body function.

Online trolls target celebrities on a regular basis, whether it's because of their posts, their opinions, their images or videos, or just because of their clothing. Trolls have frequently chastised them for their social media posts, and even celebrity moms have not been immune. Women have been sharing breastfeeding images for years to de-stigmatize the phenomena and demonstrate how it is not to sexualize the image.

Even actresses have been torchbearers in the past, posting images of themselves with their newborns to debunk prejudices and support other new moms.

Take a look at some celeb moms who have tried to normalise and embrace breastfeeding-

Lisa Haydon uploaded a picture of herself breastfeeding her child. Taking to Instagram, she wrote in the caption, "I've gotten loads of posts asking about life after having my son... esp to do with weight and fitness. Seeing as it's World Breastfeeding Week- time to give some credit where credit is due. Breastfeeding has played such a big part in getting back into shape after giving birth to my baby. Breastfeeding has been challenging+time consuming (literally hours spent everyday trying to stimulate milk supply) but it's such a beautiful way to bond and connect with your child plus all the nutritional benefits that your child gets from your milk."

Celina Jaitly recently recalled getting trolled for her breastfeeding photo. A part of her post read, "@facebook brought up this picture from @stardustmagazineindia edition 9 years ago and along with it a lot of memories. At that time while I thought I was sharing one of the most blessed times of my life, I was surprised to be trolled tremendously on social media (for child neglect & impossible body) published in the magazine by then editor @ramkamalmukherjee."

'All of me' singer John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen has posted a few photos of her breastfeeding her babies. Wanting to normalise the process, Chrissy often talks about body positivity and a lot more.

Taking to her Instagram, Neha Dhupa a while back narrated her breastfeeding story. She said, t’s been 8 months since I embarked on this rollercoaster and there is no better time than now to talk about how truly grateful I am for all the joy that our little one has brought into our lives...motherhood like all else hasn’t been easy... the sleepless nights, the feeling like a food source ,the blues are all a part of this wonderful package. Its amazing how the mommy brain can do so many things at the same time and works on autopilot ...like resting the baby’s head jus right , knowing when she is done with her feed and ofcourse becoming the burping expert of the world . I breastfed  Mehr exclusively for 6 months and still continue to do so ... It truly made me realise the value of a wonderful support system that I have and sometimes the lack of it and also the lack of facilities . Like once I was on a plane and had to feed her , and I literally had to take her to the washroom and was only hoping that the seat belt sign does nt come on before she is done ...of course I came out n apologised for using the washroom for so long... now here’s the real deal ... I honestly don’t understand the consciousness behind doing something so right n so beautiful. Im also super grateful for all the amazing people in my life for making this journey easier but the truth is I know I’m not alone in feeling that there has to be a slight shift in our mentalities, in the fact that we need more facilities for breast feeding moms with their babies or even their breast pumps ...and the only way this can happen is if we start a conversation... I want to encourage moms like you and me whether breast feeding or not , to share their story ... tag me @nehadhupia and use the hashtag #freedomtofeed and I promise to share story with my little world".

Cardi B had released the video for her single 'Money', which has sequences in which she appears to be breastfeeding a baby, most likely her daughter Kulture.

Shikha shared a picture of herself breastfeeding her daughter Alyna. She captioned the post,“We live in a society where a mother catches less hell for giving her toddler a coke than she does for giving her toddler Breastmilk. I am working to change that in my lifetime",
