Superstar Biswajit Chatterjee aka Biswajit and Rekha worked in a film and during the shoot of this film, Biswajit lost his control and forcibly kissed her for five minutes. Rekha in her autobiography mentioned that film director Kuljit Pal 'conspired' to elicit a kissing scene from her without her consent.

While shooting for Do Shikari, a scene required Biswajit to romance Rekha, but the actor went on to kiss the 15-year-old teenager as the camera rolled, catching her by surprise. Rekha also claimed that the director did not cut the shot. Rekha also claimed that the director planted the kiss. 

Reportedly, after the scene got cut, a jolted Rekha started crying inconsolably and ran out from the sets. The Khoobsurat actress was stunned by how she was treated and had to be cajoled to return on sets.

The kiss incident became a hot topic in the press, and it also sparked a controversy. Despite the backlash, the scene was retained in the film. Reportedly in an interview, Biswajit defended himself. He said that he followed the director's instructions. The actor further stated the scene was loved by the audience.

Despite the spicy kissing scene, Do Shikari failed at the box office. The film was completed in the early 70s but the film remained canned for years. It was only in 1979 that it was released under the title Do Shikaari failed to do well at the box office.
