Going by the fact Virat-Anushka lead a private life, we know that there won't be many instances where we will get to catch a glimpse of Vamika.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who was last seen on the silver screen in the 2018 film 'Zero', is currently embracing motherhood after welcoming her first child with India skipper Virat Kolhi. The couple was blessed with a baby girl named Vamika on January 11, 2021. Anushka and Kohli had tied the knot in December 2017 in Tuscany, Italy.

In August last year, the couple had shared the news that they were expecting a child. Taking to Instagram and sharing a picture, both of them had written: "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021."

And even before Anushka gave birth to their daughter Vamika, the couple made sure that they send out a clear message that they would not want to engage their child on social media or bring her up under the media spotlight. They requested the paps to not click pictures of their baby and the latter obliged.

As we all know, both Anushka and Virat, even though public personalities, lead very private life. So, going by that, we know that there won't be many instances where we will get to catch a glimpse of their daughter Vamika, except when the couple decides to put up some pictures. Until now they haven't revealed the face of their newborn.

And because there will only be very few instances when we will get to know about and see a picture of Vamika, we thought of curating a list about what all have the couple -- Virat and Anushka- shared about Vamika until now.

Take a look:

On January 11, soon after Anushka Sharma delivered a baby girl, Virat Kohli took to his Instagram handle to share the news with his fans and the media. " In a note, Virat announced, "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes," the Indian skipper had informed through a statement on his social media handles. "Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time," he added. Interestingly, the couple chose a gender-neutral yellow colour note to make the announcement.

On February 1, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced via social media that they have decided to name their daughter 'Vamika', meaning Goddess Durga. It can also be described as the epithet of the Goddess. Interestingly, Vamika starts with Virat Kohli's letter 'V' and ends with Anushka Sharma's 'ka'.

In her second Instagram post after the arrival of daughter Vamika, on February 7, Anushka revealed what her current favourite accessory was. Well, no pints for guessing, it was Vamika's burp cloth! Anushka posted a mirror selfie, while putting and posing for the click, dressed in black jeggings and top. The actor had a cute little burp cloth on her shoulder and hair tied up in a ponytail.

India cricket captain Virat Kohli posted a touching message for his wife Anushka Sharma and their newborn daughter, Vamika, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Alongside a photo of the two, he wrote, "Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It's because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women's Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who's going to grow up to be like her mother. And also a Happy Women's Day to all the amazing women of the world."

Anushka Sharma celebrated her daughter Vamika's two month birthday with a beautiful rainbow-themed cake that not just looked lovely from the outside but was filled with what seemed like delectable layers from the inside. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Anushka on Thursday shared a picture of the well-decorated cake that was cut from one side and she wrote in her caption: "Happy 2 months to us."

During one of his press interactions, when Virat was asked how he felt about becoming a father and not being part of one of India's greatest series win in Australia in January, he said, "Firstly I don't think the two can be compared. Becoming a father has been and will remain the greatest moment in my life, in both our lives. That is something to be experienced to understand what I am saying. Secondly, the connection to the team does not go away in any situation. Especially when you have given everything to the team."
