Here's all we know so far:

34-year-old actor was discovered by his househelp. According to police reports, the actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020 afternoon. Pills for depression were also discovered from the house. Soon, Mumbai Police stated that the actor died by suicide. The reports stated he died of 'asphyxia due to hanging'.

Sushant Singh Rajput fans have been speaking about the mysterious demise of their favourite actor eveyday since June 14, 2020. They have shown anger towards a few celebrities, who allegedly were involved in bullying and promoting nepotism over talent. Soon, the fans demanded CBI inquiry in the matter.

A day after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, Kangana Ranaut made a video questioning how did 'Gully Boy' win all awards and 'Chhichhore' not win any. She went on record to make claims like Mahesh Bhatt having full control over Mumbai thanks to his friendship with Javed Akhtar. She also hinted Karan Johar-Aditya Chopra declared the actor 'flop'. Kangana questioned why did YRF back out of promoting Sushant, and why did Karan Johar take three years to release 'Drive', and wasn't able to get exhibitors to release the movie in theatres for 'Dhoni' actor. Kangana said she would return her Padma Shri if she cannot prove the claims. She then went on to even hit at Alia Bhatt, stating that the actor received an award for 10-minute role in 'Gully Boy', but 'Chhichhore' was completely ignored.

A lawyer from Patna had filed a case against eight Bollywood personalities, including Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, alleging they conspired against Sushant, leading to the actor's demise. He pleaded the same amounted to murder. The case was rejected in the local court, and the advocate promised to challenge the decision.

Apart from Kangana, Shekhar Suman and BJP MP Roopa Ganguly demaded CBI inquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Shekhar Suman also started 'Justice For Sushant Forum', where he pleaded for CBI inquiry in the case. He addressed the same at a press conference in Patna too, when Suman had gone to meet Sushant's grieving parents. Former Union Cabinet Minister Dr. Subramanian Swamy also wrote to PM Modi about the same.

Mumbai Police, as it promised, has been investigating people in the case. They have interrogated Sushant's househelp, PR teams, co-workers, friends, family and others in the case. They have questioned 38 people, including actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, 'Dil Bechara' co-star Sanjana Sanghi, director Mukesh Chhabra, YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra, Shanoo Sharma, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Director Rumi Jafrey recently spoke about the movie he had signed Sushant and Rhea for. Kangana Ranaut, too, has been summoned in the case. However, since she is in Manali, the actor has requested that the police could send someone to take her statement.

Dr. Swamy had sent letters to PM Modi after he learnt from his sources that Sushant's death might be a cover-up. After Amit Shah forwarded the letter, PM Modi recently appreciated receiving it.
