Sacrifices even today are not gone unnoticed (eg. Uri attacks, Pulwama attacks), so how could Bollywood stay back in remembering Bhagat Singh through their movies? Various movies (most of them titled Shaheed) have been made on the biopic of the life of Bhagat Singh, but no movie paid the man a tribute like Rang De Basanti.

Relevant even today, more so on Shaheed Diwas, here are some of the scenes from Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti which you totally should remember today. It is actually the perfect day when the movie, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, should be revisited.

Meanwhile take a look at some of the scenes from Rang De Basanti which made most difference:

It is quite important that people going to college face reality. The spirit of bravery and sacrifice for a greater cause is expected to remain inside them. The movie Rang De Basanti had a dialogue which could beautifully give birth to this spirit. The dialogue was 'Koi Bhi Desh Perfect Nahi Hota, Usse Perfect Banana Padta Hai'.

Each one of us cribs about every small instance but sit back and watch things unfold when we have the power to do something. Thus Rang De Basanti had a dialogue, 'Ab bhi jiska khoon na khaula, khoon nahi woh paani hai. Jo desh ke kaam na aaye, woh bekaar jawaani hai.'

Even before embracing death, Aamir in the film reminded us of Bhagat Singh's undying spirit by saying, 'Zindagi Jeene Ke Do Tarike Hote Hai - Ek, jo ho raha hai hone do, bardaasht karte jao. Ya phir zimmedari uthao usse badalne ki'.

Ajay Devgn also featured in a movie The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. The song 'Mohe Rang De Basanti Chola' beautifully portrays that Bhagat Singh was not afraid of death. He was not afraid to be hanged either and even kissed the rope which was going to be tied on his neck. That just shows what kind of a warrior Bhagat Singh was.

Bobby Deol portratyed the role of warrior Bhagat Singh in the movie 23rd March 1931: Shaheed. While he played Bhagat Singh, real life brother Sunny Deol played Chandrashekhar Azad.

No matter if his body would have left for the heavenly abode, but Bhagat Singh's soul still survives. His attitude still lives in some youth and that is growing among the next generation thanks to stories of sacrifices and the after-effects of them every year.
