Scoops: Tiger Shroff shoots action-packed climax for 'Student of The Year 2', Salman Khan sings 'Chogada'

For those who have watched Student Of The Year, and are expecting the sequel SOTY 2 to be on the same lines, they may be in for a surprise. The only similarity between the two is the setting — both are campus-based romcoms. But unlike the first film, the sequel will be extremely high on action.

Says our source, “The climax that’s being currently shot is completely different from what you’ve seen in SOTY. This one’s got some really high-octane sequences. Director Punit Malhotra and producer Karan Johar know that Tiger Shroff is unbelievable with his stunts and that’s what they want to capitalise on. He has performed a few never-seen-before action shots for the climax.” 

After Hrs had told you that Salman Khan would be accompanying newbies Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain to promote their upcoming film LoveYatri on Indian Idol. Now, we have learnt that Dabangg Khan sang the reprised version of the hit song Chogada. An insider reveals that the superstar was so excited to be on the singing show that he rehearsed for an hour before taking to the mic for the song. Not only that, but Salman also recreated a scene from Karan Arjun — where the goons were beating Karan (played by him), and he was asking Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan) to run away — with one of the contestants Ankush Bharadwaj.

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are leaving no stone unturned to promote their Dussehra release, Namaste England. The two actors, who are currently shooting their respective movies in Lucknow and Patna, took time out from their schedules to create a buzz about their upcoming romantic musical in these cities. 

Arjun is in the Capital of Bihar for India’s Most Wanted, Parineeti is filming Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra in the Uttar Pradesh capital. A source associated with the actors says, “Even though they had committed their dates to these movies earlier, they’re ensuring that they keep the momentum going for Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namaste England as well. While they have been sharing bits of their songs and scenes from the film on social media, they’re going all out to add to the buzz of their movie in Patna and Lucknow during their stay there. This way, they are making the most of their time in these cities.” 

Shah Rukh Khan, who attended the ceremony of the Indian Para Olympics Contingent for the Asian Para Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, next month, made no efforts to conceal how inspired he was by their hard work and confidence. The Bollywood superstar, who has three children, is known to impart positivity and valuable life lessons to them. “Shah Rukh finds stories of athletes extremely inspiring, especially the never-give-up attitude of para-athletes,” says a source close to the actor, adding, “In the difficult moments of his life, he has taken inspiration from their stories and would like not just his own kids, but all children to learn from how these athletes overcome hardships and challenges.”

Post the event, that was supported by the IPL cricket team he co-owns and Meer Foundation, named after his late father, SRK shared his message on social media saying, “I feel fortunate that I got a chance to meet these young achievers, who are breaking boundaries and have done the country proud. Their stories inspire us to fill the incompleteness that we feel in our lives with hope and compassion. I wish the contingent all the very best in this upcoming challenge and will be rooting for them as they make new records.”  

Recently, Raveena Tandon Thadani was shooting at Mehboob Studios for an ad and on another floor in the premises, Ranveer Singh was filming for Simmba. We hear that when the Padmaavat actor got to know that Raveena was shooting in the vicinity, he dropped in to meet her. “While she was doing her make-up, Ranveer, in his usual style was goofing around and keeping everyone in splits. The two even clicked a selfie,” says the source. Raveena later posted the picture and wrote, “Guess who dropped in on my sets! And had my entire team wrapped around his little finger? My friendly neighbourhood Spiderman (sic).” 

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court bench delivered a landmark judgment in the Aadhaar case. It turns out that Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri, one of the honourable judges on the bench, has a Hindi film industry connect. He and veteran Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, not only studied together in Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, but were also very good friends. 

While one of them pursued a career in the legal field and the other set out to make a name in the movies, they stayed in regular contact and continue to remain fast friends. Interestingly, GG met up with Justice Sikri at his home a few weeks ago when he paid a visit to the Capital. After Hrs managed to get a picture that gives an idea of the bonding the buddies share.
